Appshot Studio User Agreement

By using the Appshot Studio application (the "App"), you agree to this User Agreement. If you do not agree to any of these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Service Description
The App is a desktop tool developed by SMJY Tech ("we", "us") that runs on your Mac and composites App Store marketing screenshots from your own images and text. The App also provides a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) service that AI agents may call on your device. The App requires no internet connection for its core rendering features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any or all of the App's services at any time.
2. Your Content & Responsibilities
1. You are solely responsible for the screenshots, images, and text you import into and export from the App ("Your Content"). 2. You must hold the necessary rights to use Your Content, and you must ensure it does not infringe the rights of any third party. 3. You are responsible for keeping backups of your projects and exported images. We are not liable for data loss caused by device failure, system reset, or other factors beyond our control.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: 1. Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App (except as permitted by law); 2. Disrupt or interfere with the normal operation of the App or its MCP service in any way; 3. Use the App to create misleading, infringing, or unlawful marketing assets; 4. Use the App for any purpose beyond its intended design.
4. MCP Service
The App's MCP service runs as a local process on your device and is intended to be called by AI agents that you configure and control, such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code. You are responsible for the agents you connect and the actions they perform. The MCP service does not transmit Your Content to SMJY Tech or any external server.
5. Fees
The App's pricing model will be announced closer to launch. Any subscriptions or one-time purchases will be clearly disclosed within the App or on the Mac App Store. You are responsible for any data charges from your network provider when using network-dependent features.
6. Intellectual Property
The intellectual property rights of the App's software code, interface design, icons, and other related content belong to SMJY Tech and are protected by copyright laws. Your Content and the exported images you create using the App belong to you.
7. Disclaimer
1. The App is provided "as is," and we make no express or implied warranties regarding its applicability, accuracy, or reliability. 2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App. 3. We do not guarantee that exported images will be accepted by the App Store; you are responsible for reviewing the latest App Store guidelines. 4. We are not liable for service interruption caused by device failure, system upgrades, or other factors beyond our control.
8. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this User Agreement from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with the effective date noted. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated agreement.
