Appshot Studio Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

SMJY Tech ("we", "us") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the Appshot Studio application (the "App") handles information.

Core Principle: Local First

The App is designed with a "local first" principle. Your screenshots, images, and marketing copy are processed entirely on your Mac and are never uploaded to any server. The MCP service likewise runs as a local process on your device — your content does not leave your machine through the App.

1. Information We Handle

1. The screenshots, images, and text you import, and the projects and exported images you create, are stored only on your device by default and are not uploaded to any server. 2. The App does not require you to create an account, and no personal information is required to use its core features. 3. To improve app quality, the App may collect anonymized crash reports and usage statistics if you choose to enable them. This data is not linked to your content and cannot identify you personally.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely for the following purposes: 1. Providing and maintaining the App's core features; 2. Collecting anonymized crash reports and usage statistics, when enabled, to improve app quality; 3. Complying with mandatory legal requirements. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party.

3. Local Processing & MCP

All rendering and compositing happens locally on your Mac. The App's MCP service runs as a local process and is called only by AI agents that you configure and control. Your screenshots and copy are not transmitted to SMJY Tech or any external server through the App or its MCP service.

4. Third-Party Services

The App itself does not depend on third-party cloud services for its core rendering. If you enable optional usage statistics and crash reporting, anonymized data may be processed by third-party services. The AI agents you connect via MCP are third-party tools with their own privacy policies; we recommend reviewing them.

5. Information Protection

1. Local data is protected by your Mac's own security mechanisms (such as user account, FileVault, and app sandboxing). 2. While we take reasonable security measures, no system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

6. Your Rights

1. You can delete projects or exported images in the App at any time, or delete all local data by uninstalling the App. 2. You may disable anonymized usage statistics and crash reporting at any time. 3. Since the App stores data locally, you can remove all of your content by deleting the App's library directory or uninstalling the App.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is a developer tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with the effective date noted. If you have any questions or suggestions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at tzhh0617@gmail.com.
