Ride Trace — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Ride Trace mobile application ("the App") provided by SMJY Tech ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, through the store from which you installed it.
2. What the App does
The App records cycling activities using your device's GPS and optional Bluetooth sensors, stores the data on your device, and presents it as ride summaries, statistics and posters. It is a recording and analysis tool — not a safety device, not a navigation product, and not a medical device. Always ride responsibly and obey local traffic laws; never operate the App in a way that distracts you from traffic.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
The App's core features are free. An optional Pro upgrade (watch rides, poster family, yearly calendar, GPX import/export, maintenance log) is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions or a one-time purchase through your store's payment system. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your store account settings. One-time purchases are tied to your store account and restoreable on your devices.
4. Refunds
Purchases are billed by Apple or Google under their own payment and refund policies. Refund requests are handled by the store you purchased from.
5. Your data
Your rides are stored on your device only, as described in the Privacy Policy (https://smjyx.com/en/ridetrace/privacy). You are responsible for keeping your own backups; the App offers CSV export and JSON backup/restore for this purpose. Uninstalling the App deletes locally stored data.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, modify or redistribute the App beyond what the law allows, and not to use the App in violation of applicable laws or the store's terms.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability arising from the App is limited to the amount you paid for the Pro upgrade, if anything. GPS and sensor measurements are approximate and may be inaccurate.
