Meily — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SMJY Tech ("we", "us") handles information in the Meily mobile application ("the App"). Short version: Meily works offline and has no account and no ads; your ledger stays on your device; the only data we receive is anonymous crash reports from Sentry, a crash-reporting service — stack traces, device model, OS version, app version and the time of the crash — which never contain any ledger content and are never linked to you.
Your ledger never leaves your device
Meily does not require an account and does not ask you for personal data. Entries, accounts, ledgers, budgets, receipts, tags and settings are stored locally on your device and never leave it. We operate no server for your content, so we could not read your ledger even if we wanted to. Backups happen only when you explicitly create or restore one, as a file you own and share through the system share sheet.

1. Data we collect
Crash reports. When the App crashes, it sends an anonymous crash report to Sentry — stack traces, device model, OS version, app version and the time of the crash. Crash reports contain no ledger content — amounts, notes, categories, accounts and receipts never leave your device — are not linked to your identity, and are never used for advertising. They are used only to operate and improve the App.
2. Data we do not collect
No name, email, phone number or account. No precise or coarse location. No contacts, photos (beyond receipts you attach locally), health, financial-account or browsing data. No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad SDKs or cross-app tracking. We do not sell or share any data.
3. Premium purchases
Optional Premium (unlimited ledgers and accounts) is billed by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details; the stores handle the transaction and tell the App only whether an active purchase exists on your store account, so it can unlock the feature on this device.
4. Local storage and backups
All App data lives in the App's local database on your device. The backup feature creates a ZIP archive in a location you choose; restoring reads a file you pick. Deleting the App deletes all of your data permanently — we cannot recover it for you.
5. Widgets and system features
The home-screen widgets, reminders and quick actions read only data already stored on your device. Face ID / device-passcode lock (optional) uses your device's own secure enclave; we never see or store biometric data.
6. Children
Meily is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and revise the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App's release notes.
