RenoKit — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SMJY Tech ("we", "us") handles information in the RenoKit mobile application ("the App"). Short version: the App works offline — no account, no ads, no tracking. All of your renovation records (files, budget, diary, tasks and everything else) stay on your device, and the only data we ever receive is an anonymous crash report if the App crashes.
Your renovation records never leave the device
RenoKit does not require an account and does not ask for personal data. Every record you create — house details, budgets, expenses, diary entries, tasks, checklists, files and measurements — is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. We do not operate a server for user content, so we could not read your data even if we wanted to.
What we collect
Nothing, during normal use. If the App crashes, an anonymous crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version — no name, no email, no content) is sent to our error-monitoring provider, Sentry, so we can fix the bug. Crash reports contain no renovation data.
Backups are yours alone
The optional backup feature produces a zip archive that you share or store yourself (e.g. iCloud Drive, Google Drive). We never see these backups. Restoring a backup happens entirely on your device.
Device permissions
The App asks for camera, photo-library and microphone access only for features you explicitly use (capturing progress photos, recording voice diary notes, measuring noise). You can revoke these at any time in system settings and the rest of the App keeps working.
Purchases
The optional RenoKit Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase handled entirely by the App Store / Google Play. We never see your payment details or your identity — only a flag on your device that the purchase is active.
Children
The App is intended for adults planning home renovations. It does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
