Readoo — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SMJY Tech ("we", "us") handles information in the Readoo mobile application ("the App"). Readoo is a local novel reader: it works fully offline and collects as little information as possible.
Readoo is an offline app
Readoo does not require an account and does not ask you for personal data. The books you import, your reading progress, bookmarks, annotations and preferences are stored locally on your device and never leave it. We do not operate a server for user content and we cannot read what you read.

1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller responsible for your information in the App is SMJY Tech. If you have any question about this Privacy Policy or your data, you can contact us at tzhh0617@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Local data (stored only on your device). The App stores your imported books, reading progress, bookmarks, annotations, reading statistics and preferences in the device's local storage. This data is never sent to us or to any server. Crash reports. When the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends an anonymous crash report to Sentry (sentry.io) — typically the error's stack trace, device model, OS version, app version and the time of the error. Crash reports contain no book content, reading history or annotations, contain no usage statistics, and are not linked to your identity. We use no analytics SDK of any kind. Purchases. The optional Readoo Pro upgrade is processed entirely by the store you installed the App from — Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store or process your payment card details or your store account details.
3. How and why we use information
We use the anonymous crash reports described above for a single purpose: to detect and fix defects so we can improve the App (legitimate interest). We do not use this information to build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share it with advertisers.
4. Third parties and international transfers
Anonymous crash reports are processed by Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry), which may handle them in the United States or other countries. Sentry offers safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers out of the European Economic Area. Apple processes purchases for App Store installs and may collect diagnostics as part of the App Store, under Apple's own privacy policy. Google processes purchases for Google Play installs and may collect diagnostics as part of Google Play, under Google's own privacy policy. We do not share your information with any other third party.
5. How long we keep information
Local data stays on your device until you uninstall the App, which deletes it completely. Anonymous crash reports are retained by Sentry according to its own retention policy.
6. Your rights and how to exercise them
Because the App stores your data locally and collects only anonymous crash reports, in most cases you control your data directly: uninstalling the App erases all of your local information. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. 7. Children's privacy
The App is a general-purpose novel reader and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Security
We protect information commensurate with its sensitivity. Because your data lives on your device and what we collect is anonymous and aggregated, the risks are inherently limited. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.
