Bite Stop — Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SMJY Tech ("we", "us") handles information in the Don't Eat It mobile application ("the App"). The App is built to keep your records on your device, and this page describes the few exceptions in plain language.
Your records never leave your device
Your food log, weight records, cost list and craving-SOS history are stored in a local database on your device. There is no account, no sign-up and no server that could receive them. Backups and exports are generated on your device and leave it only through the system share sheet, when and where you choose to send them.
Contents
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller responsible for your information in the App is SMJY Tech (上海守梦佳业科技有限公司). If you have any question about this Privacy Policy or your data, you can contact us at tzhh0617@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
On-device data. Everything you record in the App — food entries, weights, craving-SOS outcomes, your cost list and your settings — lives in the App's local database and never leaves your device. Exports and backups are created on your device and shared only through the destinations you pick. The only data that leaves your device: anonymous crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS and app version, crash time) sent to Sentry when the App crashes. They contain no personal content and are never linked to your identity. Purchases. Optional Pro purchases — a subscription or a one-time unlock — are processed entirely by the store you installed the App from: Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store or process your payment card details or your store account details. Nothing else. The App has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
3. Permissions and network access
Notifications — optional. Enabling the night guard schedules two local reminders on your device; these are generated by the operating system on-device, not by a server, and you can decline without affecting any other feature. Health data — optional (Pro). If you turn on automatic weight sync, the App asks your operating system for permission to read and write weight entries in the platform health store (Apple Health on iOS, Health Connect on Android). Weight values move only between the App and that on-device health store, at your direction; they are never sent to us. Declining permission keeps every other feature working, and you can revoke it any time in system settings. The App uses network access for one purpose only: sending the anonymous crash reports described above to Sentry. Your records are never uploaded anywhere.
4. Third-party services
Crash reporting: Sentry (sentry.io) — anonymous crash reports only; no analytics or advertising SDKs. You can read how Sentry handles this data in Sentry's privacy documentation (sentry.io/privacy). Purchases: processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. Weight sync: Apple Health or Health Connect, operated by Apple or Google as part of your device's operating system. The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and no social SDKs.
5. Data retention
Your records stay on your device until you delete them inside the App or uninstall it. Backups you create stay wherever you saved them. Anonymous crash reports are stored by Sentry in pseudonymous form under Sentry's retention policies and are not linked to your identity. Weight entries you sync live in the platform health store and are governed by that platform's own settings and retention.
6. Your rights and choices
Because your records never leave your device, you control them directly: deleting entries in the App, clearing the data in system settings, or uninstalling the App removes everything. The anonymous crash reports described in section 2 are not linked to your identity, and the installation identifier Sentry assigns rotates when you reinstall the App. For any question, contact us at tzhh0617@gmail.com.
7. How to request deletion of your data
Your records are stored only on your device — uninstalling the App removes them completely and immediately. The only data kept outside your device is the anonymous crash reports described in section 2 (no name, no email, none of your records). To request deletion of this data, email tzhh0617@gmail.com with the subject "Bite Stop data deletion request". We will request deletion of the data associated with your installation within 30 days and confirm by reply. This request does not require an account — none exists.
8. A note on what this App is for
